A memorial tribute to Mr. Panara will be held September 12th at 4 P.M. at the Robert F. Panara Theatre. A reception will follow in the Dyer Art Center across from the theater. On display is a collection of items connected with Bob and his passion for his family, teaching, art, literature and baseball.
Educational Support Service Personnel for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ESSP) celebrates the long and meaningful life of the acclaimed Deaf educator Robert F. (Bob) Panara who died July 20th in Rochester, NY, on the day of his 94th birthday. He was born July 20, 1920, in Bronx, New York City. Bob contracted spinal meningitis at age 10 and became profoundly deaf.
