Educatioanl Support Service Personnel for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ESSP) celebrates the long and meaningful life of the acclaimed Deaf educator Robert F. (Bob) Panara who died July 20th in Rochester, NY, on the day of his 94th birthday. He was born July 20, 1920, in Bronx, New York City. Bob contracted spinal meningitis at age 10 and became profoundly deaf. A memorial tribute to Mr. Panara will be held in September at the Robert F. Panara Theatre.
